Guidelines for a Good Password
Creating a secure password helps ensure that our system will be protected from hackers. Please keep the following in mind when you change your password:
  • Use 7-8 characters
  • Mix UPPER-CASE and lower-case letters
  • Include at least one numeral
  • Include at least one punctuation mark, e.g., $ % ! @ #
  • Do not use your name, your social security number, birth dates, or proper names
  • Do not use a word which could be found in a dictionary--nonsense (or something which makes sense only to you) is best!

Write your password down before you change it and keep it in a safe place.
